Well… the final pieces in my Rotring masterplan clicked into place this morning. A delivery of ‘mechanical pencils’ from Japan. How cool is the pack alone?

That means, excluding a few fountain pen variants and a clutch pencil, i now have the ’set’. i feel as if i should say ‘MWAH! AH! AH!’ but i’m not in the mood.

I’ll have to assemble a group shot.

I had a little fling with collecting robots a while ago, specifically tomy ones, managing to pick up mr dj, mr time (pictured), mr money and dingbot. Then i got tired of trawling camden, greenwich, portobello…

Now i’ve seen this site, i might start again…

And I’ve been to new york again.

I love NY. I think as a designer, it’s in my dna to love new york, and probably tokyo… and berlin… and san francisco… I love the food, i’m growing to love the beer (now i’ve discovered america has a lot more to offer than budweiser), i love the cliches, the steam vents, the fire escapes in soho and most of all i like the people, they’re kinda rude.
