huggies

Whilst i don’t wish to make a habit of talking about my own work on here, after all,  i have a website for that… I stumbled upon the enjoy the ride blog/site that i designed at hyper so thought i’d share.

i was pleasantly surprised by how much you can do with a wordpress theme, and i think the overall result is ‘fun’

Sharpie

As anyone who knows me will testify, i have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with pens. In the deep, deep drawer that is my pen stash, the undoubted, low-rent champ is the humble sharpie. If it’s good enough for Mike Giant, it’s good enough for anyone.

And it seems i’m not alone in this opinion, the Sharpie uncapped gallery showcases work from other devotees.

The great barefoot Vans pictured above are by okat, go check his work…

BTW – nice URL.

Unveiling of Siemens first electric green chopper, made with Ora

Since receiving a Sky HD box, i’ve rediscovered programmes i’ve watched in hotel rooms all over the world. American Chopper is still a fav. Although Monster Garage is giving it a run for it’s money…

Anyway, OCC have gone and made an electric chopper and as you’d expect, it’s beautifully OTT.

I went to Babur last night. It’s been a long time. Coconut lamb with tomato rice… with a nice big bottle of cobra. I’m still speechless.

If you’re ever in south london, go, or even if you’re not, go.

I’m kind of ‘over’ trainers (or sneakers if you prefer). I’ve spent a large amount of my adult life drooling over nike, adidas, vans and puma… The end result is I’m currently wading through a collection of over 50 pairs decided what to bin, what to sell (yes, there’s quite a market for the right shoe) and what to keep…

That said, every now and again, I see a pair I really NEED. But I can’t buy. Boo.

Architecture of War

Strangely fascinating pictures of flak towers

There’s never a simple answer when it comes to re-appropriating buildings with a dubious past. I’ve seen pictures of bunkers used as shops, playgrounds, all manner of things, but these, perhaps simply because of the scale, are a much more poignant reminder of recent history… and subsequently, all the more difficult to repurpose.

Great cosplay from the Wonder Festival.

The second image is a grab of the actual game character/inspiration (Metal Gear Solid), just in case you’re not a geek like me…
